Layers of relative truth one may apply today others at different times in our changing lives. In principle I want the Absolute and highest Truth, yet my desires and conditioning prevent my following that completely. I try to make the Absolute Truth my northern star guiding me--- though that is something, it is a far cry from making my heart one with Krishna. Scriptures, spiritual spouse, friends, saints and guru give us general recommendations for life. Yet in our everyday, often ordinary life...

There are certainly more "countrified" places than we live in......I mean there is a "convenience/gas station/general/pay too much store" only 5 minutes away. However, if we want to get any "serious" supplies, it is a minimum of 30 minutes. That will get us to the nearest branch of the "evil empire" or Wal-Mart (it is cheaper, but I know well all the cons). To reach the health food store and others takes an hour. Since we live in a rural area, the atmosphere is very peaceful and conducive for spiritual practice, and we have very beautiful Deities (authorized forms of God described in the...

Mon, 09/17/2007 - 04:56 — NityānandaChandra This year's Janmastami was absolutely wonderful. For first time ever in Dallas we had some of the Gopis accompany Krishna on the altar. For the 4:30 am artik both Radha and Kalachandji were stunning. Kalachandji wearing His fancy turban and Radharani was there giving out blessing for all who came to see her beloved, Sri Krishna, on His most wonderful appearance day. The devotee danced ecstatically for the pleasure of Their Lordships, led in a...
