We just had 3 guests stay with us, and I always love to offer our home to our dear devotee friends, acquaintances, and sometimes couples who we counsel. My wife likes it 'cus the house gets cleaned nicely :->>, yet more importantly we get to spend some quality time with devotees, and offer our best hospitality. Since we live in a rural area, the atmosphere is very peaceful and conducive for spiritual practice, and we have very beautiful Deities (authorized forms of God described in the...

Mon, 09/17/2007 - 04:56 — NityānandaChandra This year's Janmastami was absolutely wonderful. For first time ever in Dallas we had some of the Gopis accompany Krishna on the altar. For the 4:30 am artik both Radha and Kalachandji were stunning. Everyone is searching for love and trying to understand what it really is, and time is something people want more of, yet seem to be struggling against. Time is a fascinating topic, and the Vedic scriptures give us their different perspectives of what it is. Shrila Prabhupada describes 5 subjects of Bhagavad gita in his introduction, one of which is time--so it has to be important for us...

I believe John Lennon said that, though I think Prabhupada would approve of that sentiment. He often spoke of the folly of the materialist plan makers. Of course I also subscribe that to the saying that "those who fail to plan, are planning to fail". That means that we all have to chart a direction toward goals, otherwise we are adrift, like a ship without a rudder. (this could be a big topic for another time) In Prabhupada's life he was very focused on making plans, yet he always looked for...
