Disappearance of Abhirama Thakura

Date:
Tue, 2017-04-18

Abhirama Thakura was one of the most vigorous preachers among the associates of Nityananda Prabhu. In the mood of a cowherd boy, Sri Abhirama Thakura carried a bullwhip named Jaya Mangala. Whomever he struck with this whip became filled with Krishna prema, love for God. If Abhirama Thakura offered obeisances to any stone other than a sacred shalagrama-shila, it would at once burst into pieces. Abhirama Thakura used his home for preaching and for serving Vaishnava pilgrims. His house constantly resounded with kirtan and topics of Krishna.
