Gopastami

During the early portion of His pastimes on earth, Krishna played the part of a human boy in the cowherd community of Vrindavan, India. Gopastami is the coming-of-age celebration when Krishna's father, Nanda Maharaja, gave his Son the responsibility for taking care of the cows. Krishna had previously been taking care of the calves.
